Beautifying & Preserving Indian Rocks Beach

In 2009, IRB Action 2000 started the Key West Style Pedestrian Shelter project.  These beautiful Key West Style Pedestrian Shelters are installed along Gulf Boulevard.  We currently have six pedestrian shelters to keep pedestrians who are walking, riding or taking the bus dry and comfortable.  We also clean the shelters weekly and paint them all annually with volunteer help. They are located near Villa Gallace, Chic-a-Si Park, in front of CVS, between 8th & 9th Avenues, 10th Avenue Nature Preserve and in front of the County Park at 17th Avenue.  We have plans to expand more shelters uptown.
